Vladimir Tzepesci, Great Prince of Umbrey Painted for Clash for a Cure

We excited to announce Hamster Cage Studio's participation in a wonderful event called Clash for a Cure. It is an annual Warmachine, Hordes, and Malifaux tournament that benefits the American Cancer Society through donations to a Charity Raffle. We are honored to donate our time to this worthy cause and to be included along side some of the best miniature painters from around the globe.

Go give them a like and spread the word about this event.

3 days of Warmachine/Hordes and Malifaux with a Charity Raffle mixed in for both of those game systems benefiting the American Cancer Society! Set for Sep 27-29th, 2013

Here is the competed mini.

Here are a few shots of the horsey without his rider...almost done.
a look at the cloak before assembly.

Here are the WIPS

Here I drew solid lines with darkest color and stippled medium shade to create an illusion of stitches. Then added lighter color to raised areas that the light would touch. This picture does not have the final highlight which will be almost white in places. The idea is the embroidery is gold thread.

The sculpt was not that crisp on his face but I did the best I could for this project.

OH NO...Vlad has lost his head!!

Here highlights added to one shoulder pad showing the comparison to the one with only base color.

Shadows an highlights added to his cloak as foundation for some freehand embroidery detail that will be added next.

Added base color to armor trim and sharpened up the blades

More detail on the horses body. Trying to add hair details.

Painting the basic colors and starting detail on the horse.
