How to Paint Realistic Gemstones

Here is a tutorial I put together a few years ago that I wanted to finally share with you all. Earlier today I posted this on my Facebook page and mentioned I'd make a PDF available on this blog but I haven't been able to get that to work here but these pictures will be a better resolution non the less. Hope this is helpful. :)
Below is a link to a PDF version of this tutorial....at least I hope it works.

Female Eldar Farseer Themed Dice Box

I found the artwork on Ricks computer and decided since he adores it that I would attempt to paint it onto a dice box for him. The original artwork was created by is Sokil-Su.

It was a nice change painting on a two-dimensional surface.

Eldar Wraithknight - Alaitoc Scheme

This one is painted in a high tabletop standard with some added freehand. Primarily painted with brush except for base coat and blue sections. He is fully magnetized with several weapons options as well. The souls are protected in the stones from she who thirsts. Glimpses of shadowy souls can be seen in the chest, sword and shield spirit-stones. He is ready for battle. Hope everyone enjoys.

Spiritseer of Alaitoc

Here is my Spiritseer of Alaitoc.  I think it will be a fine addition on the table and hopefully help my army win some, now if I can roll something other than 1's :)

Illic Nightspear and Pathfinders

Here I did up Illic Nightspear and some Pathfinders for my Alaitoc Craftworld.

Meet the Ugliest Eldar Avatar in the Universe---he's a clown!!!

Originally this was painted by my husband done back in 94 the day it was released and he basically just thru some apple barrel paint on it to play him right away...I teased him that it looked like a clown.

Now he's just sexy.

I think he's had a bit too much Chipotle ;-)
